Zero Day in North Carolina

June 6 @ 2:10 pm

I made it to Pearisburg, VA yesterday. My sister and her husband picked me up there and drove back to their home in Winston Salem, NC. (2 hour drive). I am spending a great day of rest – eating as much as possible and enjoying a great visit.

Yesterday’s hike was beautiful. The 2+ mile descent into Pearisburg was steep and tough on the knees but the pizza at the bottom made up for it.
The photos are two that I took during yesterday’s hike. After a restful day today I will be back on the trail at about mile marker 631.
