I am posting this blog from the Pen-Mar Park just on the border of PA and MD. I took refuge in the park from a thunder storm. God has a special way of cooling things down in the afternoon. It has stopped raining so I am about to pack up and head down the trail.
Washington Monument was quite nice yesterday afternoon. There was a spiral staircase that took me to the top (photo of monument and view below.
Today’s hike was very hot and the terrain varied from ferns to massive rocks – that is one of the cool things about this hike: you never know what the next mile will bring.
