August 29 – Hike over the Wild Cats

It was kind of a discouraging day – I had hoped to hike about 13 miles today but ended up only being able to log 9.3.

However, RaceWalker and I hiked over the four peaks of the Wild Cat Mountains. The terrain was so difficult that we could only cover about one mile per hour.

The state of New Hampshire is indeed beautiful. I took several photos today and have included two that I really like. One is of Lost Pond taken early in the day and the other is at Carter Notch with one of the Wild Cat Mountain peaks looming above the pond.

Thanks for your prayers. God is faithful!

The views are beautiful. My prayer group remembered you in prayer this morning. May God bless your day and the rest of your hike.

Congrats on making it through the Whites. Glad you have had some good weather days to enjoy the amazing beauty of the Whites. I remember how challenging the Wildcats are – certainly one of the harder stretches of hiking I have done. Enjoy the Mahoosacs – they are wonderful as well.
